Verdugo Woodlands and Benjamin Franklin Elementary Schools are joining forces to host the most exciting fundraising event of the year: ‘A Day of Music’ followed by a not-to-be-missed concert by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy!
From the 1999 Super Bowl halftime show to sold-out concerts at the Hollywood Bowl and Walt Disney Concert Hall, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy reminds us that it’s still cool to swing, big band style! Their music has appeared in countless films and television shows, and few bands can match the energy and excitement of their live concerts, which keep their diverse and devoted fans coming back for more. We have no doubt this show at the Alex will sell out quickly!
A Day of Music (1pm – 4:30pm) will include musical performances by GUSD student orchestras, bands & choruses.
‘Day of Music’ is open to the public and does not require a ticket purchase. A detailed schedule will be available on www.bigbadconcert.com closer to the event date.
The Concert (starting at 7:15pm) with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and special guest opener the Glendale High School Jazz Band.
‘The Concert’ is a ticketed event. Proceeds will go to support music and arts programs at Verdugo Woodlands and Benjamin Franklin Elementary Schools and GUSD middle and high school band programs.
