Prospect House Entertainment & Glendale Arts present a Q&A celebrity screening of Robert Altman’s 1996 Kansas City.

Altman family home movies will be shown prior to screening with commentary by an Altman family member.

Robert Altman’s jazz-scored gem explores themes of love, crime, race and politics in 1930s Kansas City. When Blondie O’Hara’s husband Johnny, a petty thief, is captured by Seldom Seen, she launches a desperate plan to release him, kidnapping the wife of a powerful local politician who is up for re-election in an attempt to blackmail him into using his connections to free Johnny.

Starring Jennifer Jason Leigh, Miranda Richardson, Harry Belafonte, Michael Murphy and Steve Buscemi.

Brooke Smith (Dr. Hahn – Grey’s Anatomy and Frances – Ray Donovan); Michael Ornstein (Chucky Marstein – Sons of Anarchy); and Academy Award winning production designer on the film, Stephen Altman, Robert Altman’s son will take the Alex Theatre stage for a LIVE Q&A before the screening. Kansas City will be presented in 35mm.
