The winner of the Richard Rodgers Production Award, THE SPITFIRE GRILL follows Percy Talbot who has just been released after five years in prison and is trying to find a place for a fresh start. Based on a page from an old travel book, she travels to a small Wisconsin town where she finds a job at Hannah’s Spitfire Grill. But the Grill is for sale and with no interested buyers, Hannah decides to raffle it off. Entry fees are one hundred dollars and the best essay on why you want the grill wins. This musical triumph is an inspiring celebration of fresh starts and the power of what one person can do.
