Equally accomplished as conductor and composer, Matthias Pintscher‘s intrinsic understanding of the score from the composer’s perspective informs his ability to communicate on the podium. He is admired for his fresh and bold conducting style and wonderful rapport with musicians, serving as music director of the Ensemble intercontemporain and artist-in-association with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. LACO patrons can enjoy Pintscher’s ‘remarkably acute visual sense’ in a varied program featuring Fauré, Schoenberg, Ravel and Beethoven.

SCHOENBERG – Chamber Symphony No. 2
RAVEL – Ma mère l’oye (‘Mother Goose’)

7:00 PM – Pre-Concert Preludes – Ticket includes admission. Some Preludes feature LIVE performances of short chamber works. All provide interesting insights into the music and artists.

Every person, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the theatre.
