In Women’s History Month, enjoy the ‘honey-colored voice’ (Opera News ) of Sasha Cooke and a world premiere by rising composer Julia Adolphe, whose style is ’a neat fusion of shimmering textures and cataclysmic climaxes’ (Financial Times ). In a welcome return to LACO, Canadian Jon Kimura Parker brings his trademark liquid tone…gorgeous voicing…and dazzling showmanship’ (Winnipeg Free Press ) to the romantic Brahms concerto.
