Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra Presents

Chopin: Piano Concerto

  • This event has passed.

What ever happened to your first love? Do you ever think back and smile? Due to a growing revolt in Warsaw, Chopin was forced to leave behind his young love, soprano Konstancja Gladkowska, and immigrate to Paris. Though separated, Chopin continued to be inspired by her, composing the Larghetto of his virtuosic Concerto No. 2 with her in mind. Gladkowska eventually married another, and Chopin found other loves as well. But perhaps on certain anniversaries or when they heard ‘their’ song, they thought fondly of each other…and smiled. In her LA Chamber Orchestra debut, ‘spectacular pianist’ Natasha Paremski takes you down memory lane.
