AN EVENING WITH RICHARD DAWKINS

Richard Dawkins, world-renowned evolutionary biologist and best-selling author, will be in conversation with Real Time with Bill Maher writer and author, Adam Felber, to discuss science, secularism, and current events.

Richard Dawkins was the Charles Simonyi Professor of the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University from 1995-2008. He is an international best-selling author. Among his books are The Ancestor’s Tale, The Selfish Gene, The Blind Watchmaker, Climbing Mount Improbable, Unweaving the Rainbow, A Devil’s Chaplain, The God Delusion, The Greatest Show on Earth, The Magic of Reality, and An Appetite for Wonder. His most recent book, A Brief Candle in the Dark, is the second part of his autobiography. Dawkins is a Fellow of the Royal Society and of the Royal Society of Literature. His around-the-world speaking tour is the focus of the recent documentary The Unbelievers, which also features appearances by Woody Allen, Stephen Colbert, Cameron Diaz, Ian McEwan, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Hawking, Eddie Izzard, Bill Pullman, and Sarah Silverman.

Adam Felber is an American political satirist, author, radio personality, actor, humorist, novelist, television writer, and comic book writer. He is a regular panel member (and occasional guest host) of the NPR radio quiz show, Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!. Felber is the author of the novel Schrödinger’s Ball, which uses the concept of Schrödinger’s cat. He has also written for several television shows including Real Time with Bill Maher, Talkshow with Spike Feresten, Arthur, The Smoking Gun, and Wishbone. The on-stage conversation will be followed by a Q&A and a book signing.
