16TH ANNUAL THREE STOOGES™ BIG SCREEN EVENT!

‘Hello Pop! Stooges Family Values’

In 1933 MGM released a ‘Ted Healy and His Stooges’ short called Hello Pop! incorporating musical numbers from two previously shot features unrelated to the Stooges. The original technicolor negative was lost in a 1967 fire at MGM and no prints were known to exist. However, this year, in January, a color print of Hello Pop! was found in a film archive in Australia. The nitrate print was returned to the United States and, under the auspices of Ned Price, chief preservation officer at Warner Bros., a preservation print has been struck. With Ned’s kind permission and support, this is the print we will see at the 16th Annual Three Stooges® Big Screen Event!, shown as it was originally intended, in 35mm on the big screen and in two strip Technicolor! So, after 80 years, once again we can say, ‘Hello Pop! Glad you made it!’

Joining HELLO POP! (1933-Jack Cummings) the following Columbia classics will also be screened:

THREE DUMB CLUCKS (1937-Del Lord)

WE WANT OUR MUMMY (1939-Del Lord)

THREE SMART SAPS (1942-Jules White)

BRIDELESS GROOM (1947-Edward Bernds)

SOCK-A-BYE BABY (1942-Jules White)
