The Glendale Youth Orchestra (GYO) is one of Los Angeles County's leading youth orchestras. The GYO has played twice in recent years at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, receiving a resounding ovation. In 2011, the GYO auditioned and was selected as a PREMIER LA Phil Youth Orchestra. Our mission is based on the belief that our young people have a better chance of succeeding in their world if they appreciate and participate in its rich artistic and cultural traditions. GYO provides young musicians in grades 6-12 from all over L.A. County a unique opportunity to play classical music under the direction of Juilliard-trained conductor Brad Keimach. The GYO has been a Resident Company of the Alex Theatre for 17 years.

General Admission Seating.

Running time is approximately 2 hours with one intermission, and the performance is suitable for ages 6 and older. Photo/Video recording by patrons is allowed.

Please note that The Americana At Brand Concierge Desk and the Glendale Community College Box Office accept Credit Card payment only. The Alex Theatre Box Office Window accepts Cash and Credit Card for ticket purchases. A Facility Fee is assessed in addition to the face value price on every ticket, and an additional convenience Fee is assessed on every ticket when purchased online or via phone.
